I definitely like the research institute idea, as long as the innovation stays. I've been doing biological research for 30 years, spent 16 years at a Large biotech (Immunex) and 4 years at a small startup. I think independent research institutions are where a lot of the projects that require the synthesis (based on the original definition of bringing things together; mashups)  of data, not its analysis (i.e. tearing things apart), as most research universities are best at.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Richard Gayle</dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 09 Sep 2008 15:11:02 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
